THE XXV. LEGACY. If thou canst not bring thine heart to delight in the Lord.

WHen thou canst not bring thine heart to delight in the Lord, apply, Isai. 41.16. Thou shalt rejoyce in the Lord, and glo∣ry in the holy one of Israel.

Psal. 89.16. In thy name shall they rejoyce all the day: and in thy righte∣ousnesse shall they be exalted.

Iob. 22.26. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty.

Psal. 33.21. For our heart shall re∣joyce in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

When thou seest cause of rejoycing in the Lord, and yet canst not move thine affections, apply, They shall re∣joyce in him.

If through many troubles and temp∣tations, thou findest thy joyes often interrupted, apply, they shall rejoyce continually in thy name.
