MAnymettus of Perce lorde and kyng
Came next in preace distressed in gret payne,
Vpon fortune pitiously playnyng
His aduersite dyd him so constrayne:
For there was one whych at him did disdaine
Called Argones, voide of title or ligne
Gayne Manimettus proudlye gan malinge.

Whych Argones for his presumpcion
Take at mischete by sodayne violence,
His dome was giuen to dye in prison,
Of no power to make resistence:
But fortune that can no difference
Of her chaunges atwene frende and fo,
Caused them dye at mischefe both two.
