In the Reign of King William the First.

IT is agreed that no man can make any Appropriation of any Church having Cure of Souls, being a thing Ecclesi∣astical, and to be made to some person Ecclesiastical, but he that hath Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction: But William the First, of himself, without any other, (as King of England,) made Appropriation of Churches with Cure to Ecclesiastical persons: Wherefore it followeth that he had Ecclesiasticall Jurisdiction.
