A Prayer for the King going forth
to battel: an act of trust and
confidence in God.
THe Lord hear thee
in the day of trou∣ble,
the name of the
God of Jacob defend
thee.
2 Send thee help
from the sanctuary: and
strengthen thee out of
Sion.
3 Remember all thy
offerings, and accept thy
burnt sacrifice. Selah.
4 Grant thee accor∣ding
to thine own heart,
and fulfill all thy coun∣sell.
5 We will rejoyce in
thy salvation, and in the
name of our God we wil
set up our banners: the
Lord fulfill all thy pe∣titions.
6 Now know I, that
the Lord saveth his a∣nointed:
descriptionPage [unnumbered]
he will hear
him from his holy hea∣ven,
with the saving
strength of his right
hand.
7 Some trust in cha∣riots,
and some in hor∣ses:
but we will re∣member
the name of
the Lord our God.
8 They are brought
down and faln, but we
are risen and stand up∣right.
9 Save Lord, let the
king hear us when we
call.
