OF the Ostrich it is said, That she leaveth her Eggs in the Earth, and warmeth
them in the Dust. It is the benefit of the Earth onely that she gives unto
them; And such surely is the onely care (worthily to be reproved) which too too
many Parents have of their Chrildren; it is onely concerning the things of the Earth,
that they may be rich, and noble, and great Men in this present world; as for Hea∣venly
things, the eternall good of their soules, they are not so much as once thought of.
