ERnostus Duke of Luneburg caused a burning Lamp to be stamped on his coin,
with these four letters, A. S. M. C. by which was meant, Aliis Serviens Me∣ipsum
Contero, By giving light to others, I consume my selfe. Now if he thought
this to be the duty of a secular Prince, how much more of a spirituall Prophet, one
that is set apart for the holy f••nction of the Ministrey, to spend his strength in
Gods service, to preach in season and out of season, never to give over, but to run
the race with cheerfulnesse, being constant unto the end; knowing, that his labour
shall not be in vain in the Lord.
