TIme is one of the most precious bles∣sings, [ 1] which worthlesse man in this world enjoyes, a jewell of inesti∣mable worth, a golden stream dissol∣ving, and as it were, continually run∣ning downe by us, out of one eter∣nity into another; yet seldome taken notice of untill it is quite passed a∣way from us; Man (saith Solomon) knowes not his time, Ec∣cles. 9.12. It is therefore most just and meet, that he who hath the disposing of all other things lesse precious and momentous, should also be the supreme Lord and dis∣poser of all our times.
