A. We are to distinguish betwixt things

that are absolutely necessary, and things that are necessary in some respect; also betwixt things absolutely necessary, and things very useful and profitable; for many things are greatly useful, which are not absolutely ne∣cessary: And thus, though men have no ab∣solute need of outward means for the convey∣ance of Light and Life unto them, yet the outward means are very useful and helpful unto them.
