The sixteenth Argument.
That which hath neither Precept nor President, is neither comman∣ded
not commended in the Word of God, may not be tolerated
in the Church of God.
But this kind of Preaching by gifted Brethren; hath neither Precept
nor President in all the Word of God:
Ergo, It may not be tolerated in the Church of God.
We never read in all the Old and New Testament of any that took
this Office, but that he was called either Mediately or Immediately, Or∣dinarily
or Extraordinarily. his new-found Officer, a gifted Preacher
out of Office, is not to be found in the Bible, &c.
I have but one Argument more, and then I come to examine the
proofs.
