IUdge me, O God and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitfull and unjust man.

AGainst th'ungodly nation, Lord, my cause plead, judge thou me: From th'unjust and deceitfull man let me deliv'red be.

2 For thou ar•…•… the God of my strength, why doest thou cast me off? why go I mourning, be∣cause of the oppression of the enemy?

2 For of my strength thou art the God, why me off casts thou so? For th'enemies oppression why mourning do I go?

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me, let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

3 O send thy light out, and thy truth, let them so lead me still And to thy Tabernacles bring, and to thy holy hill.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God m•…•… exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God▪ my God.

4 Then will I to Gods altar go, to God my chiefest joy: Yea, God my God, thee for to praise my harp I will imploy.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God, for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

5 Why art thou, O my soul, cast down? what doth disquiet thee? Trust God, I'le him yet praise; my GOD, and health of face is he.
