MAny a time have they afflicted me from my youth: may Israel now say.

2 Many a time have they afflicted me from •…•…y youth: yet have they not prevailed against me▪

OFt from my youth, may Israel say, with grief they me assail'd: Oft from my youth they troubled me, yet'gainst me not prevail'd.

3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they •…•…ade long their surrows.

4 The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asun∣•…•…r the cords of the wicked.

Upon my back the plowers plow'd▪ they furrows long did make: The Lord is just, asunder he cords of the wicked brake.

5 Let them all be confounded and turned •…•…ck that hate Zion.

6 Let them be as the grasse upon the house tops: which withereth afore it groweth up.

5 Let them confounded and turn'd back all be that Zion hate: 6 As on house tops the grasse 〈◊〉〈◊〉 grown, so withred be them let.

7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand▪ nor he that bindeth sheaves, his bosome.

7 Wherewith the mower doth not •…•…ill at any time his hand, Nor yet he that doth binde the sheaves his bosome on the land.

8 Neither do they which go by, say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we blesse you in the Name of the Lord.

8 Nor do they say, which do go by, Gods blessing on you be, In his own name that is the Lord now blesse you all do wee.
