To the Reader touching the order of finding and correcting the faults escaped in printing.

FIrst, I pray you vouchsafe with your penne to correct the numbers of the leaues of these bookes, which num∣bers are not in some leaues trulie set downe, that done, for the rest of the faults resort to the Table follow∣ing, which consisteth of fiue col∣lums, whereof the first on the left hand sheweth the true number of the leafe, the seconde collum sheweth the page both first and second: the third sheweth the line: in counting whereof you must begin at the head of everie page, and so proceede downward, leaving no printed line vntold, though it contayneth but one word, omitting notwithstanding such lines as doe containe the title of any chapter, so shall you bee sure to finde any fault mentioned in the sayde Table, and the correction thereof hard by it on the right hand: for the fourth collum of this Table containeth the faults, and the fift collum the correction thereof: by helpe of which Table you may correct your owne booke, where need is, in setting downe the correction in the margent right a∣gainst the fault found.
