With that of ye boke losende were the claspes
The margēt was illumined al with goldē railes
And bice enpictured, with grassoppes & waspes.
With butterflies, and freshe pecocke tailes.
Enflored with flowres and slymy snayles,
Enuiued pictures well touched and quickely
It wold haue made a mā hole yt had be right sikly

To beholde, howe it was garnisshed and boūd,
Encouerde ouer with golde of tissue fine
The clapses and bulliōs were worth a. M. poūde
with balassis & carbūcles ye borders dyd shyne
With aurum musicum euery other lyne
Was writen: and so she dyd her spede
Occupacion immediately to rede.
