IN points or resolutions expe∣cted from you, aske advice from those who have beene

knowne practicall, experienced, and immersed in affaires, for they are ablest to give firme counsell, and when your propositions have beene tasted or chewed and deliberated upon by such, it is as it were a politicke masticati∣on, and first concoction, and such advices prove often soundest and healthfullest.

Thus,

When Rehoboam heard the peoples propositions, Depart yee, sayes he, for three dayes, then come againe to me, And hee consulted with the old men,
