by a miracle; which is, that if any one be bitten of a serpent, as soone as with a fir∣me fayth he toucheth the gate of this Mar∣tyrs Church, is presently cured. At Caesarea in Palestine of S. Adrian Martyr, who in the persecution of Diocletian, for the confession of his fayth, by commaundment of Firmilia∣nus President, being first cast vnto a Lyon, and afterwards slayne by the sword, recea∣ued a Crowne of Martyrdome. The same day the passion of the Saints Eusebius a Courtier, with nyne other Martyrs. At Cae∣sarea in Palestine of S. Theophilus Bishop, who vnder Seuerus Emperour, was greatly renow∣ned for wisdome, and holynes of lyfe. Mo∣reouer in Palestine vpon the riuer banke of Iordan, of S. Gerasimus Anchoret, who flou∣rished in the tyme of Zeno the Emperour.
