THe Plane tree in Gréeke is called Platos, for his bredth and plainenesse of leafe. Zerxes the King of moste mightie power had this in admiration aboue al other trees, insomuch that he fell in loue with it, and at such time as other hastned him, & made preparance through him to battaile, yet he would somwhile slack vnder this tree, and spende there the most parte of the day.
