THuronia is a Prouince of the ouer France, & was sometime accounted a part of Gyan, & hath ye name of ye noble

citie Turon, & in that Thuron the floure of Priests most holy Saint Martin re∣sted, and is vpon the riuer Ligeris, that runneth thereby, & moisteth it, and ma∣keth it rich in many manner wise. The land beareth well corne and fruit, wine, and pasture. Therein is most wholsome aire and many woods. Men be of bodys seemely of shape, hardy and bold of heart, goodly in déede, and in speath sober.
