An Oyle for greene wounds.

The flowers be∣ing brused, put them into a glasse with the oyles and wine, and set the glasse in the Sunne seauen daies, then boyle it sixe or seauen houres in balneo mariae, after straine it, and put too againe fresh flowers and seedes: sunne it seauen daies, and boyle them as before. Repeate this course so of∣ten till the oyle bee red and the wine consu∣med, then straine it, and put thereto aloes

Rec. Olei abietis ℥.j.ss. thuris masculi ℥.j. succi limonum lib. j. Bruse the Incense, and mixe them with the rest, and let them infuse in balneo mariae twelue houres with an easie fire, then distill it, and kéepe the wa∣ter to wash the face, and the oyle to annoynt the same.

An oyle of great efficacie for paines in the ioynts of lues Venerea.

Rec. xl. ouorum vitellos coctione indu∣ratos et dissipatos, cum ℥.vj. pyrethri in pul∣uerem redacti, Mixe them, and distill them by a Retort, first with a gentle fire, and af∣terward with a stronger; the liquor that you so receiue mixe againe cum castorei ℥.j. and thuris albi ℥.ss. hermodactylorum ʒ.vj. and distill them. When you haue receiued that liquor, mingle it with the feces againe, put∣ting too lauri-baccas, and draw it out. This course if you repeate yet oftner, you shall make an oyle that shall bee incomparable in this case.

A most proued oyle for the itch, and moyst or mattrie scabbe.

Rec. Succi oleandri lib.j. olei rosac. lib.ss. Mingle and boyle them gentlie, vntill the oyle only remaine, then straine it, and adde to it (if you will make it most effectuall) sul∣phuris puluerizati ℥.j.

Oleum Hyosciami magistrale, of notable vse, both for wounds, vlcers, gowtes and other paines.

Olei communis lib.viij. vini albi lib.ij. summitatum hyosciami & seminum eius viridium lib.iij.ss. vermium terrestr. gariophyllorum, ana.℥.iiij. croci ℥.j. opij ℥.ss Choppe and stampe the herbe very small: then mixe all the rest with it, and set them in the Sunne twelue daies: after boyle them to the consumption of the wine and iuyce, then straine it and kéepe it to your vse. If you would haue it in the forme of an Unguent, and vse it to painfull vlcers, Rec. olei hyosciami magi∣stralis ℥.iiij. resinae pini, resinae ana.ʒ.iij. vn∣guenti ros.ʒ.vj. cerae albae ℥.ss. Héereto also may bée added a little Myrrhe and a fewe droppes of oyle of Sulphur, or Antimonie, as the malignitie requireth. To make a soft plaister or sparadrap of it, do thus. Rec. olei hyosciami magistr.℥.vj. vnguenti hy∣osciami ℥.iiij. resinae ℥.ij. cerae citrinae ℥.iij. Mixe them.

Oleum Antimonij, or sanguis Stibij, most excellent for creeping and maligne vlcers.

Rec. Regulum antimonij (the manner of making whereof also followeth) grinde it most finely vpon a marble, powring still vn∣to it a little distilled vineger. When it is perfectly grinded, put it into a Felt, and powre of your viniger vpon it, vntill it haue dissolued and carried through all the Anti∣monie into the vessell that standeth vnder to

receiue it: then put all that liquor into a Limbecke, and distill it out; the feces re∣maining in the bottome will bee red, which take and put in a cloath, hang the same in some moyst place, with a receiuer vnder it to droppe into, and that which so resolueth and droppeth downe is oleum antimonij: and because it is red, is called sanguis anti∣monij.

Your Regulus is thus made.

Take your stibium, and melt it, let it coole againe, then melt it and coole it againe, and being so done fiue or ixe times, it is cal∣led Regulus.

An oyle intituled (of secret operation) for vl∣cers, and namely Cankers and Fistulaes.

Rec. apij, marrubij, millefolij, plantagi∣nis, absynthij, saluiae, tapsibarbati, chelido∣nij, valerianae, hyperici, ana.m.j. olei com∣munis lib.ij. terebinthinae lib.viij. galbani ℥.ij. aluminis ℥.j.ss. theriacae ℥.j. viridis aeris ʒ.ij. thuris ℥.j. gentianae, aristol. rotundae, ana.℥.j. vitrioli, tartari, ana.ʒ.ij. myrrhae, sar∣cocollae, ana.℥.j. resinae pini ℥.xij. Powder that which is to be powdred, and boyle them

together to the wating of the iuyces; put too your viride aeris in the cooling.

An oyle to stay the stench of a Canker.

Rec. Myrrhae, carpobalsami, nucis miri∣sticae, ana.℥.ss. olei hyperici, olei de terebin∣thinae, ana.℥.iij. mosc. gra.iiij. ambrae tan∣tundem, olei de lateribus ℥.vij. Boyle them in a double vessell, and therewith annoynt the place; if it bite, alay it cum olei rauino vel lacte.
