Fumigations.

A fume to cure vlcers proceeding of lues ve∣nerea, or Alopecia Gallica.

REc. Cinabrij ℥.j. belzoini, styracis, myr∣rhae, olibani, & oppoponacis, ana.℥.ss. masticis, thuris, ana.ʒ.ij. Mixe them with Turpentine, and make them vp in small balles.

A fumigation to prouoke sweate.

Rc. Cinabrij ℥.j. styracis rubei & cala∣mitae, nucis moscatae, ana.ʒ.iij. belzoini ℥.ss. And with Terpentine make them in small balles of two drammes a péece.

A fume to cleanse the bodie of foule and filthie skabbes proceeding of the pockes.

Rec. Cinabrij ℥.j. merc. sublimati ʒ.j. myrrhae, masticis, thuris, styracis calam. ana.℈.v. gummi iuniperi, terebint. laudani ana.q.s. Fiant trochisci.

A fume for the vlcers of the nose proceeding of Alopecia Gallica.

Rec Cort. thuris, masticis, olibani, myr∣rhae, styracis, gummi iuniperi, ana.℥.ss. rosa∣rum rubrarum, sandalorum omnium, ana.ʒ.ij. auripigmenti rubri ʒ.iij. lapidis pyritis ʒ.ij. And with the muscilage of gum. draga∣gant. make them in Trochisces.

A fume for contracted members.

Rec. Olei oliuarum, olei iuniperi, ana.℥.v masticis lib.ss. terebinthinae ℥.iiij.ss. Mixe them: the lame member, bee it legge or arme, must bée enclosed in a vessell of wood, large, and for that purpose, to bée shut close also that no fume go foorth. Underneath kindle this receipt of fume now described, and maintaine it so halfe a daie together. This vapour will thicken into a water,

as such things do in a lembecke, and pearce and warme the member, cherish the veines and humor of life, and bring againe the member to naturall liuelihood. This processe is to be held as long as the infirmitie endu∣reth.
