FVrther it follows necessarily that the Glosse (Sum∣ma de paen. dist. 5.) erreth, which teacheth, that the full confession of sinnes was not instituted by any authority of the olde or new Testament, but onely by the Tradition of the vniuersall Church: which o∣pinion is followed by Panormitan and Decius, but is confuted by all, but especially by Durandus and Ma∣ior.
