Il fine di guerra, é questo: Iddio é bestiamato, renegato, de∣testato, le Chiese sono pro∣fanizate, e sacrilegiate, le Ʋille brugiate, le Citta de∣strutte, i Castelli subuerti, le Fortezze ruinate, gli huo∣mini vccisi, le donne for za∣te, le vergine violate, i beni presi e rapiti. In warre there is no fayth, lawe, loue, huma∣nitie, humilitie, charitie, nor honestie: but all pride, am∣bition, crueltie, arrogancie, disobedience, stealth, aua∣rice,

I Ministri di aduer¦sit a sono, Tentatione, infirmita, igno∣rantia, guerra, peste, fame, processo, discordia, perdita d'amici, fastidio, & diuer si accidenti, & altri inconueni∣enti.

The Ministers of aduersitie are, Temptation, sicknesse, igno∣rance, warre, plague, hunger, processe, discorde, losse of friendes, care, and diuers ac∣cidentes, and other in conue∣niences.

I ministri di prosperita sono, In∣nocentia, humilita, special∣ta, fauor, pieta, conscientia, amor, discretione, benignita, integrita, amicitia, sede hon desiderio, gratia, & timor di Dio.

Questi sono i messi di peccato, Sugestiune, cogitatione, di∣letto, banchetto, festino, dis∣solutione giuoco, & ballo, follia, piacere, prodigalita, inconstantia, inconsideratio∣ne, et cattiua compagnia.

These are the messengers of syn, Suggestion, cogitation, de∣light, banquetting, feasting, dissolution, play, and daūsing, folly, pleasure, prodigalitie, inconstancie, inconsiderati∣on, and euyl company.

Questi sono i cinque sensi di Natura, cio é, Vedere Se••tire, Toccare, Gustare, et odorare, ma guarda co∣me, quando, quale, che, & do∣ue.

These are the fiue senses of Na∣ture, that is to saye, To See, to Heare, to Feele, to Taste, to Smell, but looke howe, when, which, what, and where.

Quatro sorte di tentatione, Concupiscentia, ambitione, Hipocrisia, & vana speran∣za.

Foure sortes of temptation, as Concupiscence, ambi∣tion, hypocrisie, and vayne hope.

Quatro humori regnano nel'∣huomo, secondo i quatro cle∣menti, cio é, Vna complessione é sanguigna, l'altra cho∣lericha, l'altra flemmati∣cha, l'ultima Malincho∣nicha.

Foure humours raigne in man, accordyng to the foure Ele∣mentes, that is to saye, One complexion is sanguine, an other cholerik, an other fleg∣matike, and the last, melan∣cholike.

There are men, that becomme poore through three causes: some because they are too pi∣tifull: but of those there are few. Some for being too libe∣rall: of those there are lesse: some other for beyng to pro∣digall: of those there are a great many in London.
