Clairon, pedal. Organ stop which the organist plays by means of the pedal keyboard. This stop speaks an octave higher than the Trompette, pedal , in unison with the bass and tenor range of the Prestant and the Clairon, or four feet. If the pedal keyboard has a short octave, the additional pipes go down to unison with the Basse de Trompette; this reed stop is of tin and differs only in having a wider scale.
