Washing the formes in Printing . The formes must be washed and this is done by carrying them to the tub  [1], pouring on enough washing solution  [2] to cover them and brushing them all over. They are then rinsed in clean water; this essential procedure must be carried out before formes are mounted on the press, when printing from them is finished and each evening before leaving work.
