Armorique, what the ancients designated as Brittany minor. The word means maritime: included under this designation is, in addition to Brittany minor, a portion of Normandy; according to Sanson, it applies to all of the peoples forming the second Lyonnaise province, which was later divided into second and third, where are now located the archbishoprics of Rouen and Tours.
