Lacrimarum habundancia multum valet ad
compassionem.

Sancta Deoginiez.] satt þinkand̛ of þe benefice of Almighti God, how largelie he gaff þaim vnto mans kynd̛, sho tuke suche a compunccion̛ & feƚƚ opon̛ sucℏ a wepyng, þat as sho went abowte in þe kurk men̛ mot hafe folowd̛ hur steppis be þe confluens of þe teris of hur een̛ þat feƚƚ down̛ on̛ þe payment, vnto so mekuƚƚ þat a long tyme sho mot nowder luke on̛ þe crucifyx nor speke, nor yitt here no noder speke, of þe Passion̛ of Criste, þatten̛ evur sho feƚƚ in swone as sho had bene dead̛. & þerfor̛ to restrene hur wepyng sho lefte thynkyng of þe manhede of Criste & toke hur to vmbethynkyng of His godded̛, at be þinkyng þerof sho mott take a comfurtℏ. Nevur-þe-les hur wepyng was evur mor̛ & more when̛ sho thoght of His godhed, als mekuƚƚ as it was when̛ sho thoght of His manhede. And þus hur sorow was renewid̛ and hur sawle prikkid̛ with a swete compunccion̛. et c̛.
