About 1290? Grant to Oseney, by Eustace son of Jeffrey, of a messuage, garden, croft, and 27¼ acres arable, with meadow, and a quit|rent of Id. over two acres, with all feudal su|periorities.

KNOWE þ^ei that ben present and to be þat I, Eustach ffiȝt Geffrey off Hensinton, with oon assent and consent of Moolde my wiffe and of Henry my first boor sone, ȝafe and grauntid, and with this my present charter confermed, to god and to þe church of Seynte Mary off Osneye and to þabbot and to þe chanons þere seruyng god, In-to ffree pure and perpetuell

almes, oon mese with a Curtilage (or Gardeyne) and Crofte þat I had in þe towne of Hensinton [Marginal note:—'Hensyngton.'] , with þ^e pertinences, and xxvij. acris and j. Rodde of Arable londe In þe ffeldes of Hen|sinton, with þe pertinences, and all my mede that I had In þ^e medis of Hensinton, with þ^e pertinences, and a ȝerely rent of j. d. at þe ffest of Seynte Marten, þe which mayster John Maȝon was i-wonyd to ȝelde to me for ij. acris þ^e which he helde of me In the feldes off Hensinton, with homage and seruice of þe same Master John, and all that I had or myȝght haue in þ^e fforsaide thynges, withoute oony withholdyng to me or to my heyres [folio 28b] for euer: to be hold and to be had, to the saide abbot and chanons and to þere successours, of me and myne heyres, in|to free pure and perpetuell almes for euer: and I, Eustach, and my heyres, to þe forsaide Abbot and chanons and to þere suc|cessours, all the forsaide thynges agaynste all pepull for euer schall warantiȝe aquite and defende.
