See no. 163.] , bi þe grace of god bisshop of exetur, gafe & grauntid to þe holi minchons of Godestowe xl. shillings, into perpetuel almis euiri yer, þat is to sei, in þe churche of owre ladi of Gloucetur, xx shillings, & in þe churche of ferendon, xx. shillings: & is with-oute date.

THE sentence of þis confirmacion is, þat Robert, bisshop of exetur, gafe & grauntid to Robert, clerke, fitȝ turtain, in-to perpetuel almis þe churche of farendon excepte alonli xx. shillings, þe whiche he gafe yerli of þe rentes of þe same churche to þe minchons of godestowe in perpetual almis: & for-asmuch as he willid to be sure & stronge, he strengthid hit with his writinge & with his seele: and is with-oute date.
