November, MONDAY, 30. 1863.
The air cold & rain
We marched all day through
a good country, well improved
well timbered & watered, rather hilly
crossed the Hisawassa Hiwassee River at Charlston Charleston (Bradley County, Tenn.)
where the rebs left Forts and
stockades burned bridges &c.
Camped in the woods at night,
