Since Marcus Aurelius [- - -, the son that] has been born [to us, has reached] in the present [. . . year of Valerianus and] Gallienus Augusti the age of 14 years [and ought] to be selected by the [officers in charge of the selection, I have appended] the claims of [both] of us [in accordance with] the ordinance. [On the one hand], I, [Aurelius] Sokrates, was selected in year . . . of Severus] Alexander Caesar [the lord and] I was returned in the household census [of year 7 of Gordianus in the same] quarter [of the Sacred Gate - - -]
