Whetstones: Flat sand stone and shale pebbles were used for sharpening knives and awls. These often have a groove on one side. Approximate age is from 1645 to 1660. Location- Power House Site, Lima, New York. Dimensions are from 7 cm. by 4.5 cm. to 9 cm. by 5 cm.
