GIANT STAR (CHEVRON) GLASS BEAD: The giant star or chevron cane bead is found rarely in the early and mid-Colonial period. Usually the ends of these beads have been faceted to emphasize the star design of the multilayered colored core. Approximate age is from 1645 to 1660. Location- Power House Site, Lima, New York. Dimensions are 3.5 cm by 2.25 cm.
