Typewritten letter from Alfred R. Neff
185 Speedwell Ave. Morristown, N. J. Nov. 1, 1938 My Dear Mr. Orson Welles: I am a constant guest of your excellent program every Sunday evening, , and I speak for my friends as well. I write this to tell you that we are with you in your time of need for friends as well as support. I enjoyed last Sunday's program and look forward to this comming week's also. I am also writing to the FCC this evening in support of your excellent dramatizing of events and plays. Any person that owns a radio, and has'nt the sense to control their emotions when a fact is presented for their enjoyment and consideration, that person should have their radio taken away from them. Please feel assured that the millions that listen to you every week will stand by you and the added millions that will now follow your broadcasts. Keep up your good work Mr. Welles, and don't let this little affair disturb you. This will do you more good than harm, believe me sir. Wishing you the best of luck and a tremendous amount of success in your future lifes work, I remain, Sincerely yours, Alfred R. Neff
