JUNE MEETING, 1972 1523 munity, he was the University's Henry Russel Lecturer for 1964-65, and was granted a Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award in 1968. The Regents thank this eminent man most cordially for his services to this institution and for the honor he has conferred upon it by his association. They join his admiring colleagues in wishing him continued accomplishment as holder of the title Professor Emeritus of the History of Art. VII. DEATHS No deaths were reported to the Regents. VIII. OFF-CAMPUS ASSIGNMENTS AND LEAVES OF ABSENCE One off-campus assignment and nine leaves of absence were reported to the Regents. The Regents approved an extension of leave without salary J.W. T.Chavis for John W. T. Chavis through June 30, 1973. LeaveExtended IX. DEGREES On recommendation of the Dean of the Graduate School the Degree Lists Regents approved the addition of Dennis Gordon Severance, B.S., Amended Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, A.M., to the May 1970 Master of Science degree list; the addition of Marjorie Mae Ostreich, A.B., to the August 1971 Master of Science degree list and the deletion of that name from the December 1971 Master of Science list; and the addition of Beverly May Hoisington, B.S., Eastern Michigan University, to the May 1971 Master of Arts degree list. On recommendation of the Administrative Board of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, the Regents approved the addition of Joel Carl Seyburn to the December 1971 Bachelor of Arts degree list; and the restoration of the name of Steven Jay Wees to the December 1971 Bachelor of Science list with the citation "with Distinction" (p. 1449). The recommendations of the Committee on Honorary Degrees Committee on Honorary Degrees were approved with change as noted. Honorary Degrees On recommendation of the proper faculty in each case the Degrees Confirmed Regents confirmed the conferring of degrees and certificates on those completing the prescribed course of study on the dates indicated. The list appears as Appendix A to these minutes. X. FINANCE-PROPERTY The Regents approved the expenditure of the income of the Wolfson Trusts Julian A. Wolfson and the Marguerite Wolfson Endowment Funds for the 1972-73 fiscal year as outlined by Dean Theodore J. St. Antoine (p. 1102).
