The checked background came from me trying to copy the image in high school, I drew the grid as a way of tracing the image. I wanted to paint it onto canvas during high school, but I never finished it. I don’t know why I chose this one. I could not remove the lines; I don’t know if I damaged it or if it added value to the image over time.
