About the construction

Description: Two-and -one-half-story Colonial Revival cross gable frame house . Pediment trim over entry door and first story front window. Two-story columned Greek Revival portico added at a later date.
Date Of Construction: ca.1900
Context: Important for its architecture, this Colonial Revival house was nominated to the National Register in 1985.The National Register nomination gave no definitive construction date for this house, but states that J.M. Rosse lived here in 1909. City directories indicate that the house was occupied by the Cole family from approximate 1916-1926, and the Moehns until approximately the 1940s. Carl Moehn was assistant manager of Detroit Edison and a mail carrier.
