About the construction
- Description
- This late frame Queen Anne house is adorned with elements typical of the style such as wrap around porch with pediment gable and replaced spindlework, hipped roof with lower cross gables, and diamond window in the front facade. The gables have decorative ornament and fish scale shingles. The back porch has been rebuilt and a gazebo added. A barn sits at the rear of the property.

- An interview with Ruth April Lindenschmidt in 1976 indicated that Julius and Clara Lindenschmidt lived here from 1901 to 1909, Benjamin Smith from 1909 until 1923, and Fred Aprill from 1923 until 1962. Julius Lindenschmidt was born to Henry and Lydia Feldkamp Lindenschmidt September 21, 1868. He married Clara Sturm in Saline on June 12, 1901. Mr. Lindenschmidt worked in real estate and as a streetcar motorman in Ann Arbor and later at Central Speciality in Ypsilanti. The Lindenschmidts lived on W. McKay in 1910 and at 103 Maple in the 1940s. Violet and Bob Harrison bought this house from Fred Aprill in 1962.
