- Remodeled in 1945. Probably originally a Greek Revival style house. The 1854 Bechler wall map indicated a house in the approximate location of 209. The 1872 Bird's Eye View shows a Greek Revival house in this location. The 1870 tax rolls show Erastus LaBaren as owning one lot, and his name is on the 1874 atlas. The 1892 tax rolls show John Dunn as owning the property and his name with estate following it, is on the 1895 atlas. Katherine Henzler emmigrated from Germany to Saline after the death of her husband in 1895, and her name appears on the 1899 city directory. Katherine died in 1920, and James House appears on the 1926 city directory. Edna House owns the property through 1935, and then Margaret Niles name is on the assessor's file. The house is then sold to Elmer Hinderer in 1947, and James Hinderer is the current owner.
