Comments: Text within illustrated borders on heavy art paper, with reproduction of the cover of the 1953 edition of Loynaz's work. Black tissue-paper endpapers; recto of front free endpaper features drawing in silver, with wooden crescent moon, signed by Ruth Behar. Covers are black tissue-paper over paper boards: front cover features wooden adornements and rotating centerpiece portraits of Loynaz and Behar; back cover features illustrated logo of Ediciones Vigía, with edition number handwritten on small strip of wood. Bound with black and silver cords. Part of a collection of handmade chapbooks, most with cords for hanging (literatura de cordel), published by Ediciones Vigía under the auspices of the Cuban Ministry of Culture. "Esta edición homenaje ... consta de cincuenta ejemplares numerados, iluminados a mano, firmados por Ruth Behar, y totalmente manufacturados. Fueron usados para esta edición láminas de madera , tierra recogida del patio del Ruth Behar en Ann Arbor, papeles de distintas texturas, colores, y gramajes, recortería de papel artesanal blanco y papel negro plateado pinto a mano. Las fotos de las autoras que aparecen en la cubierta fueron tratadas por David Frye."--Colophon.
