This volume is a collection of articles from the first International Conference on Manchu-Tungusic Studies (ICMTS) which took place at the University of Bonn from August 28-September 1, 2000. It contains twelve articles, all on Manchu-Tungusic topics except for one article on Jenisseian languages. Here I will give a few comments on each of the articles.
