received this boon to the race shows here grateful and gentle they are. A song of thanks giving to to God has gone up all over the land. Our Society has for the past five weeks been at work for the freed people of Missouri who are in Kansas in numbers too great for the people of that sparsely settled state to find employment & sustenance for clothing & food are needed till they can find employment & thus provide for themselves
