Determination by the homage that John Godley, before the last court, on his deathbed, surrendered into the lord's hands, through the hands of John Cakebread and William Maney, tenants of this manor, one close called Little Land [3] containing three and a half acres lying between New Park [4] and the orchard of Henry Cromwell and recently held by Edward Fidgett, one other close called Brewers Close [5] containing two and a half acres lying next to Carp Pool Yard, [6] and one other close containing two acres and called Carp Pool Yard [7] and Dovehouse Yard [8] with appurtenances, to the use [9] of Bevis Godley, his son, and his heirs. Further, conveyance by the lord to the said Bevis of one close called Little New Land [10] containing three and a half acres lying next to Brewers Close, [11] by metes and bounds, in exchange for the aforesaid close called Little Land, with the assent of William Cervington, gentleman, Bevis' uncle.
