Determination by the homage that Joan Kyrbye, widow, before the last court, on her deathbed, surrendered into the lord's hands, through the hands of William Baker and Thomas Redman, tenants of this manor, one customary messuage with five acres of leasows and meadow and one close called Wigney, containing an estimated two acres, to the use [2] of John Samson and his heirs, to whom the lord, through his Steward, granted seisin, to be held from the lord, by the rod, at the will of the lord, according to the custom of the manor, for 26 s. 8 d. annual rent, and all other customs and services owed therein. Fine: (#6.) Fealty performed, admitted as tenant.

Surrender into the lord's hands by Roger Goodwyne, in person, of four acres of customary land lying in Long Newfield, [3] to the use [4] of Thomas Redman and his heirs, to whom the lord, through his Steward, granted seisin, to be held from the lord, by the rod, at the will of the lord, according to the custom of the manor, for 2 s. 6 d. and one hen annual rent, suit to court, and all other customs and services owed therein. Fine: (40 s.) Fealty performed, admitted as tenant.

Surrender into the lord's hands by John Gowler and Margaret, his wife, and William Gowler, their son, in person, and after Margaret had been examined alone by the Steward, of one tenement with two appurtenant pightles and appurtenances, to the use [5] of Thomas Cockes and his heirs, to whom the lord, through his Steward, granted seisin, to be held from the lord, by the rod, at the will of the lord, according to the custom of the manor, for 8 s. and one hen annual rent, suit to court, and all other customs and services owed therein. Determination by the homage that Robert Thompson, before the last court surrendered into the lord's hands, through the hands of John Campion and Oliver Collyn, tenants of this manor, two acres of meadow in Chevery, [6] to the use [7] of William Basley and his heirs, to whom the lord, through his Steward, granted seisin, to be held from the lord, by the rod, at the will of the lord, according to the custom of the manor, for 4 s. and one capon annual rent, suit to court, and all other customs and services owed therein.
