12 d. from Robert Marshall, common trespasser with his draught animals in his neighbors' crops [2], and for stealing and carrying off his neighbors' hay and also their fish from their nets. Order that he withdraw from the vill before the feast of St Etheldreda next, [3] under penalty of 40 s., and that he not return to the vill to live before the end of seven years, under penalty of 40 s.

(PENALTY:) Ordinance that no inhabitant of this vill henceforth put his pigs in Mitchwood [4] nor in the Hallow from Michaelmas [5] until the feast of the Invention of the Holy Cross, [6] unless he guard them, under penalty of 4 d. for each pig, (with the following condition: that if the Cellarer provides for this ordinance in some other way, it will be nullified.)

Ordinance that no one shall permit his pigs to wander in any of the lord abbot's woods and especially in the woods around the abbey from three weeks before the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist [7] until two weeks following the said feast, under penalty of 6 s. 8 d. for each [offence.]

Ordinance by the homage that no one shall tie up his horses in the common balks [8] from the feast of the Purification of Blessed Mary [9] up to Rogation Days. [10] Similarly for mares and other animals: none are to be put in the field there from the said feast up to the feast of St Peter in Chains, [11] under an individual penalty of 40 s.

Ordinance that no one henceforth put any draught animals in the aforesaid field of Ramsey except milch kine [12] from the said feast of St Peter up to the end of Autumn, under an individual penalty of 3 s. 4 d.

Ordinance that any inhabitant of this vill shall sufficiently dig and repair his ditches, both within and outside the vill, and especially those who have [ditches] in the High Street [13] and Little Wyght [14] shall clean them. Further, they shall remove anything built up from those ditches before the feast of St Etheldreda the Virgin, [15] under penalty of 10 s. for each failure or omission concerning any part or parcel thereof.

Ordinance, decreed and constituted at this court, that no adolescent of this vill shall henceforth have common in the fenor [engage in] fishing or in any other matter as occupy other tenants, under an individual penalty of 40 s.

Memorandum that John Smyth, Nicholas Chamber, Thomas Pulter, Thomas Fennell, Richard Druere, Robert Neweman, Robert Juddson, Jacob Willson, Robert Day and William Wright are admitted as common labourers, who receive 12 d. as their daily wages for the whole year when they use their own boats, 4 s. for the work of one day [when they work] in anyone's pond, 3 d. for digging, 4 d. daily for making a hurdle, [16] and 4 d. daily for digging or making turves. Further, each of the above shall be prepared to work when requested by any parishioner, under an individual penalty of 6 s. 8 d.

Ordinance that henceforth no inhabitant shall keep any [female] persons in his house except members of his household, under penalty of 40 s.

Order that the wife of Robert Thomson shall withdraw from the vill before Christmas, under penalty of 40 s.

Order to Katherine Ellysworth, a common scold with her neighbors, to restrain herself, under penalty of 40 s.

Order to the wife of William Wyse, behaving in similar fashion, to correct herself, under penalty of 40 s.

Total of this Leet and Court: 11 s.

Ordinance that any inhabitant sufficiently clean or have cleaned all his common exits and ditches before the next feast of All Saints, [17] under an individual penalty of 12 d.

Ordinance that anyone shall sufficiently make his fence between himself and [...] [18] before the same feast, under an individual penalty of 12 d.

Ordinance that no one henceforth shall put any animals in the common pasture called "the Cheverell" before the next feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, [19] under an individual penalty of 3 s. 4 d.

Ordinance that no tenant shall henceforth put his pigs in [...] [20] unless he has put rings on them, under penalty of 6 s. 8 d.
