- Group portrait of eight Crow Indian prisoners of war apprehended in November, 1887 following Crow War uprising led by Sword Bearer (also known as Wraps up his Tail and Cheez-tah-paezh) being guarded by six United States Army soldiers at Crow Indian Agency, Montana Territory. Crow prisoners wear mixtures of western and traditional clothing including buffalo fur coat, wool trade blankets, blanket leggings, moccasins, and pompadour hairstyles. Leg shackles visible on three seated prisoners.
