- Group portrait of Ahpeatone and unidentified wife (either Kaubin or Guohaddle) standing in woods. Ahpeatone (at left) wears mixture of western and traditional clothing including fringed hide shirt with flicker feathers affixed at shoulder, otter fur hair wraps, wool blanket, and necklace affixed with presidential peace medal. The woman wears traditional fringed hide dress and cross earrings.
- Contemporary inscribed image caption: Appeahtone and Squaw Chief of the Kiowa Indians.
- Printed on front: Irwin, Chickasha, Ind. Ter.
