Group portrait of twenty one Shoshoni Indian men including Washakie (far right on horseback) outside building at Fort Washakie, Wind River Indian Reservation, Wyoming Territory. Subjects wear mixtures of western and traditional clothing including broad-brimmed hats, hair feathers, porcupine hair roach headdresses, loop necklaces, blankets, brass armbands, pompadour hairstyles, and dance bells while some individuals hold objects including tomahawks, eagle feather fans, and riding quirts. Older man in white shirt seated at center appears to be wearing cinder goggles.
