- Image used as part of exhibit curated by Charles F. Fish during the Second International Congress of Eugenics in New York City in 1921.

- Bonito's tribal affiliations are uncertain. He was either originally a member of the White Mountain Apache who married into the Bedonkohe Band of Central Apache Indians or vice versa.
