- Group portrait of Standing Elk (seated at left) and Black Horse (seated at right) in encampment at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota. Standing Elk wears western shirt and vest, blanket with bead embroidered strip, and eagle feather bonnet with trailer and ermine skin trim while holding rifle. Black Horse wears western shirt, vest and hat as well as otter fur hair wraps. Tipis present in background. Photograph likely taken shortly after Wounded Knee Massacre.
