- Studio group portrait of four Nez Percé Indian chiefs detained as prisoners of war wearing mixtures of western and traditional clothing including hide shirts with embroidered shoulder and sleeve strips and ermine skin fringe, hats adorned with feathers, and blankets. All four individuals hold fans. Individual seated at left wears pompadour hairstyle. Photograph taken in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas sometime after November 27 1877.
