- Half length portrait of White Spider (half-brother of Little Crow) seated wearing cloth shirt, bandana, grizzly bear claw necklace, and blanket draped around his shoulder. Photograph taken at Fort Snelling prison compound during winter of 1862/1863.
- Printed label on verso: From Martin's Art Gallery, No. 264 Third Street, St. Paul, Minn. Duplicates of this Print always on hand.
- Contemporary inscription on verso: Inktomi Ska.
- Title derived from image caption.
